“We had an excellent visit to Best Western On The Avenue! The front desk staff were lovely upon arrival and check-in was a breeze. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Jetted Tub room where the Whirlpool hot tub was clean and functioned perfectly. The bathroom was ideal with a large shower, mirrors and a very unique red light bulb option. The Keurig, microwave and fridge in room were great amenities. The hotel was walking distance from plenty of bars and restaurants on beautiful Allen St. We loved being greeted by our new bird friend Simba at the front desk whenever we passed. The TV in-room had cable but we weren’t able to figure out the streaming apps / TV WiFi component. Can’t wait for our next stay!”
“We stayed overnight recently for an event at the Keybank Center. Getting to the hotel from the border at the Peace Bridge was easy, hotel is close enough to downtown core for easy accessibility. Many restaurants etc within walking distance. The gentleman at the front desk (didnt get his name but seems to be the manager) was fantastic! All staff were great but you could really see and feel the pride in his work shine through as he interacts with each guest. The African grey parrot 'Simba' in the lobby is a cute nice touch, the historic type elevator was cool. The hallways and rooms smelled a bit musty... but didnt take away from the experience. No pool - which disappointed the kids but again not a big deal. Breakfast buffet was GREAT - everything was fresh and staff were fantastic - again the gentleman from the front desk was everywhere during breakfast - replenishing stock, interacting with guests - really great! They have limited parking so a number of people ran into parking issues after the event - but we had read the reviews and just left our car at the hotel and took an Uber to the event and back - very easy, better than trying to park near the arena. We were surprised at how lovely downtown buffalo was, all the historic buildings.. but the city seemed empty except for the event goers which was kind of sad because the city seems to have SO MUCH POTENTIAL! We will be back for sure!”
“Hey, Cashgirl here, this was a last minute booking and we chose the right one. 510 Delaware Avenue is where we chose to go BEST WESTERN! Free Parking for the guest, beautiful entrance and a great welcome from the Parrot. Yes Parrot that’s what I said. The Manager was Smiling and welcoming as well. Our room was affordable. Elevator to room was decorated amazing. The Room was cleaned correctly and everything. WIFI was so helpful. Now you know I’m Big Back when it comes to any food. I know my pics says otherwise but Breakfast starts from 7am-10am and it was sooo amazing. The Manager found out we don’t eat meat so he made sure there was something’s for us and everyone else that don’t eat meat. Potatoes, vegetables and more yes for breakfast. Amazing right!! Also they have a gym for workouts. Two elegant restrooms outside the breakfast rooms incase you have to go. After hours they have another room for anyone that would like tea, coffee, heat up their food and so on. Of course places to sit as well. Lounge area… I really enjoyed myself. Once I visit your City,State or country I get real comfortable. So my song “Like a Model” Cashgirl show some love after you read this review. “Great hotel in an excellent location—easy walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate me when I needed to extend my stay. They even called my room later to check if I needed fresh towels or housekeeping, which really shows their commitment to customer service. Breakfast is better than what you typically get at similar chains—nothing fancy, but the eggs were fresh, the food was good, and the coffee hit the spot. Overall, no complaints at all. I’d definitely recommend staying here.”
“A friend and I stayed here for the night so that we could enjoy a benefit and not have to drive back home. The front desk staff were beyond great, pretty much all staff we came in contact with were. The price wasn't crazy and you get free parking which was a big plus. The only complaint we had was the shampoo was empty in the room and had been for a while. And the window was very drafty and you could hear the wind all night coming though it. But other then that we loved the stay, will definity be back.”
